Selah Space Community Standards

Operator: Workbird LLC
Effective date: September 22, 2026
Policy version: 2026-09-22-v1

1. A space for voluntary, respectful conversation

Selah brings adults together for pastoral conversation, prayer, reflection, and spiritual support. These standards apply to members and pastors, including profiles, messages, bookings, reviews, video conversations, and conduct outside Selah that directly affects another participant's safety or use of the service. They supplement the Terms of Service and Pastor Participation Terms.

People may arrive with different beliefs, doubts, traditions, identities, or experiences of religious institutions. You may explain your beliefs, disagree with an idea, question a teaching, decline prayer, or end a conversation. Disagreement and an honest negative review are not, by themselves, misconduct. Participation must remain voluntary.

2. Respect people and their boundaries

Do not threaten, intimidate, stalk, repeatedly contact someone who has asked you to stop, or direct degrading abuse at a participant. Do not encourage violence or mistreatment because of a person's race, ethnicity, nationality, disability, age, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, or lack of religion. Criticizing an institution or belief is different from targeting a person with harassment.

Respect a person's name, privacy, stated boundaries, and choice about what to disclose. Do not pressure someone to reveal trauma, health information, sexuality, family circumstances, financial details, or religious beliefs. Do not use shame, threats of spiritual consequences, supposed divine instructions, or the pastoral relationship to compel obedience, money, secrecy, or continued participation.

No one is required to accept a prayer, ritual, interpretation, touch, outside meeting, or additional relationship as a condition of receiving the purchased conversation. If a connection is not appropriate, end it respectfully and use the support process to address remaining appointments or payments.

3. Be truthful about identity and qualifications

Use your own account and provide accurate information. Do not impersonate a member, pastor, organization, employee, or public figure. Do not claim ordination, employment, training, a license, a background check, or a professional affiliation you do not hold. Describe the organization and scope of a credential accurately; an educational certificate is not automatically a professional license.

Do not present a synthetic voice, generated persona, prerecorded conversation, automated response service, or substitute provider as a live conversation with the booked pastor. Ordinary accessibility tools are welcome when used consistently with privacy, consent, and accurate identity. Disclose any permitted additional participant before they join.

Approval to publish a Selah profile is not permission to advertise a verification that Selah has not performed. Report materially inaccurate profile information to support@workbird.co.

4. Keep pastoral relationships free from exploitation

Sexual harassment, unwanted sexual comments, sexual solicitation, grooming, and sexual exploitation are prohibited. Pastors must not use a Selah pastoral relationship to pursue a sexual or romantic relationship with a member. A pastor must not suggest that intimacy, financial support, or personal loyalty is necessary for spiritual progress or continued access to care.

Do not ask participants for loans, access to financial accounts, investment purchases, personal fundraising contributions, gifts, bequests, or purchases unrelated to their Selah membership. Do not use private conversations to recruit for a business opportunity or to pressure a person into another paid service. Ordinary discussion of generosity or faith is not permission to solicit money from the person seeking support.

Use the disclosed platform payment process. Do not demand an undisclosed surcharge or tell a member to pay privately to receive a session they have already purchased. Do not threaten exposure of private information, a negative review, a report, or withheld services to obtain money or another benefit.

5. Protect private information

Keep another participant's private communications, identifying details, and appointment information confidential except for an authorized service purpose, a necessary support or safety report, a legal reporting duty, valid legal process, or another legally permitted disclosure. Access information only when needed for your role. Never search for private information out of curiosity or share a sign-in link, host link, access token, or another person's account.

Do not publish private messages, session notes, contact details, health disclosures, or identifiable stories as a testimonial, sermon illustration, social-media post, training example, or fundraising material without specific, informed permission and a lawful basis. Changing a name is insufficient if the person is still identifiable. A member's payment or agreement to general terms is not consent to publicity.

Do not record a session, capture private screenshots, introduce a transcription or meeting bot, or upload private conversation material to an external artificial-intelligence service unless every affected participant has given specific advance permission, Workbird has expressly authorized the use, and applicable requirements are satisfied. A participant may refuse. The ordinary Selah service does not include recording or transcription. Never conceal a recording tool or make participation conditional on an unnecessary recording.

These restrictions do not prevent a truthful report to Workbird, a regulator, law enforcement, or another authorized recipient, or the lawful preservation of evidence for a complaint. Limit a report to relevant information and use a private channel. No provision requires concealing abuse or prevents exercising a protected right.

6. Respect the scope of the service

Selah conversations are pastoral support. Do not use the platform to diagnose a condition, prescribe or change medication, deliver a clinical treatment program, or claim a guaranteed cure. Do not instruct someone to abandon medical care, stop prescribed treatment, or withhold necessary care because a spiritual practice is supposedly a substitute.

Pastors should state when a question exceeds their experience or the service's scope. They must not promise certainty about a person's mental state, future, spiritual standing, or safety. Discussing a belief or experience does not justify coercion, humiliation, or practices intended to cause harm.

Selah does not provide an emergency response channel or continuous monitoring. If someone is in immediate danger in the United States, call 911. For suicide or mental-health crisis support, call or text 988. Do not wait for a Selah message or conduct report to be reviewed before contacting an appropriate emergency resource.

7. Adults, abuse concerns, and required reports

The service described in these standards is for people at least 18. Do not book for a child, share an adult account with a minor, or bring a minor into a private session. If someone appears to be under 18, stop the ordinary session and contact support without publicly exposing the person's information.

Child sexual abuse material, grooming, trafficking, and exploitation are prohibited. Do not upload, request, distribute, or send illegal sexual material to support as an attachment. Identify the location of suspected content and relevant account details through an appropriate report instead.

Follow any mandatory reporting obligation that applies to you. Reporting to Selah does not replace a report required to a child-protection agency or other authority. Confidentiality and clergy privilege are not blanket exceptions to reporting duties; their scope depends on the facts and applicable law. Do not promise that a disclosure of abuse can never be reported.

8. Honour bookings and communicate responsibly

Publish availability you can reasonably honour, keep the correct time zone, attend on time, and communicate promptly about a scheduling problem. Do not deliberately reserve slots you do not intend to use, obstruct another participant's access, repeatedly abandon appointments, or falsely claim that a session took place.

Keep between-session messages relevant and proportionate. A paid membership does not create round-the-clock availability or entitlement to someone's private telephone number, home address, personal social-media account, or unpaid work outside the agreed service. A pastor must not retaliate when a member declines additional contact.

Use the booking and cancellation controls and retain confirmation. The Terms of Service explain renewal cancellation, session credits, missed appointments, and service problems. A conduct report does not by itself cancel a membership or guarantee a refund; support must address the relevant requests expressly.

9. Reviews and public material

Reviews must reflect your own relevant experience. Do not invent an appointment, buy or sell reviews, coordinate false ratings, review your own service through another account, or condition a benefit on a positive rating. Disclose a material connection when applicable. A pastor may invite an honest review but may not write it for a member or demand approval before publication.

You may criticize Selah or a pastor honestly. We do not require favourable reviews, prohibit lawful criticism, or impose a penalty for a negative opinion. We may act on threats, impersonation, fabricated experiences, unlawful material, spam, irrelevant advertising, or another person's private information. A removal decision must address the actual violation, not merely the rating or the fact that the review is unwelcome.

Use only content you have permission to provide. Do not upload another person's photograph or copyrighted material as if it were yours. A dispute about a review does not justify posting a member's private conversation to rebut it.

10. Keep the service secure and lawful

Do not steal credentials, bypass access controls, scrape private data, distribute malware, interfere with bookings or payments, send spam, or use the service to facilitate fraud or unlawful activity. Do not misrepresent a security test as permission to access another person's account or keep their information.

Report a suspected security problem privately to support@workbird.co, describe the issue without unnecessary personal data, and stop before causing harm. A good-faith report is welcome. This reporting invitation is not authorization for intrusive testing or a promise of a bounty.

11. Reporting and review

Send a concern to support@workbird.co, identifying the relevant account or booking, approximate date, conduct at issue, and outcome you seek. Include only information needed to understand the concern. If a concern involves the person who normally supports your account, request a different reviewer where available. Do not send passwords, complete payment details, or illegal material.

We consider the available evidence, severity, context, potential harm, and relevant history. We may request clarification or preserve limited records. We aim to handle reports fairly and restrict disclosure to what is needed for review, safety, or law. We cannot guarantee anonymity, a particular response time, or that every detail will remain undisclosed when a fair process or legal obligation requires otherwise.

Possible actions include education, a warning, removal of public content, restrictions on contact or bookings, temporary suspension, or termination. Serious or urgent concerns may require immediate action. There is no guaranteed number of warnings. When appropriate and lawful, we explain the action and how to seek review. We may limit an explanation to protect another person's privacy, an investigation, or safety.

You may request reconsideration at support@workbird.co with “Community appeal,” the decision, and relevant information. A person will consider the request; this does not promise a separate review department. Restrictions can remain during review when necessary. Reporters and witnesses must not face retaliation for a good-faith concern. Knowingly fabricated evidence or malicious false reports may themselves violate these standards.

Suspension or termination does not automatically erase a member's refund rights, a pastor's legitimately earned payout, or anyone's privacy rights. We address those matters under the applicable agreement and law.

12. Updates and contact

Workbird may revise these standards with an updated effective date and appropriate notice of material changes. Required agreement or consent will be obtained where applicable. A new standard does not retroactively make a truthful, lawful complaint a violation.
