Selah Space Pastor Participation Terms
Contracting party: Workbird LLC
Effective date: September 22, 2026
Policy version: 2026-09-22-v1
1. Your participation
These terms supplement the Terms of Service, Community Standards, and Privacy Policy for a person offering pastoral conversations through Selah Space. You accept them through an identified pastor acceptance step. Publishing a profile or receiving a member's payment is not a substitute for recording an agreement that the law requires.
You must be at least 18, legally able to provide the described service, and eligible to use the required payment and meeting providers. The initial service contemplated by these terms is for adult participants in the United States. If you act for a church or other organization, disclose that relationship accurately and obtain any permission necessary to participate.
2. Truthful profiles and continuing eligibility
Provide an accurate name, biography, tradition, experience, credentials, affiliations, location description, and availability. Use a photograph and other material you have authority to provide. Do not claim a license, ordination, degree, endorsement, insurance policy, screening result, or employment relationship you cannot substantiate. Describe a credential's issuing body and limitations when needed to prevent misunderstanding.
Workbird may request reasonable information to assess publication or continuing eligibility. Approval is not a promise that Workbird has verified every statement or performed a comprehensive background check. Do not use approval to imply otherwise. Notify support@workbird.co of a material change that affects the accuracy of your profile, your eligibility, a relevant credential, or your ability to serve booked members.
Do not delegate a booked session to another person, substitute a generated persona, or transfer your account without express authorization. Use only the approved profile and your own authorized meeting and payment accounts.
3. Relationship and responsibility
Workbird supplies the platform, booking, membership, messaging, and integration tools. You provide the pastoral conversation and exercise judgment within the service's stated scope and these standards. You determine the availability you offer and are responsible for honouring accepted appointments.
Nothing authorizes you to enter a contract, incur an expense, make a guarantee, or speak on Workbird's behalf. These terms do not create a partnership, joint venture, or authority to bind Workbird. The parties intend an independent service-provider relationship, but a contractual label does not override employment, tax, worker-protection, or other status required by the actual facts and applicable law.
These terms do not impose exclusivity. Other work must not misuse member information, misrepresent an affiliation, or interfere with confirmed appointments. Each party remains responsible for obligations the law places on it; this agreement does not shift every platform responsibility to you.
4. Scope and professional boundaries
Provide pastoral conversation, prayer when welcomed, spiritual reflection, and related support. A Selah appointment is not a clinical treatment engagement, emergency service, legal representation, or individualized financial-advice service. Do not diagnose, prescribe, claim a cure, instruct a member to stop prescribed treatment, or represent a membership as providing a separately licensed service. If you have another professional role, keep it distinct and avoid confusing the member about which service they purchased.
Respect the member's right to decline a topic, prayer, interpretation, activity, or future appointment. Do not exploit spiritual authority, a disclosure of distress, or a power imbalance. Follow the Community Standards on sexual and romantic boundaries, gifts, loans, investments, solicitation, coercion, and harassment. Do not require a donation or private payment to provide a purchased session.
Do not promise absolute confidentiality, a particular spiritual result, or continuous availability. State when a request is beyond your competence or the platform's scope. If there is an emergency, direct the participant to an appropriate emergency resource; messages to Workbird are not an emergency-response mechanism. Follow the reporting obligations that apply to your circumstances. An internal report does not replace a legally required external report.
5. Availability, attendance, and continuity
Offer times you reasonably expect to honour. Maintain the correct time zone and a schedule sufficient to support the memberships you accept. Do not continue accepting new memberships when you know you cannot provide their included appointments within the paid period. Tell Workbird promptly if illness, leave, account restrictions, or another circumstance affects your capacity.
The standard appointment is 20 minutes. Be ready on time in a private environment, provide the booked conversation, and respect the end of the appointment. A video provider's meeting-duration setting is not an attendance record or a substitute for providing the service. Do not mark or represent an unattended session as delivered.
Use the platform's scheduling process. Inform the member promptly if a change is necessary and offer an appropriate available alternative. Do not cancel in order to demand a higher price or an outside payment. If you miss a session or cannot provide it, cooperate in restoring an opportunity, correcting the record, or arranging the appropriate remedy through support.
Between-session messages are part of the described relationship, not a promise of 24-hour access. Communicate reasonable availability and absences without promising a response time you cannot meet. Do not require contact through your personal accounts as a condition of platform service.
6. Zoom and technical access
Maintain a Zoom account capable of hosting the booked conversations and authorize the integration only for an account you may use. Selah uses the authorization to create, read, update, and delete the meetings needed for sessions. It stores the integration credentials encrypted and uses meeting links to provide the appropriate participant or host access.
Keep host links and credentials private. Use the waiting room and admit only the expected adult participant. Do not enable automatic recording or introduce a recording, transcription, or AI meeting tool in the ordinary service. Any exceptional use requires Workbird's express authorization, every affected participant's specific advance permission, and compliance with applicable requirements. A setting that disables automatic recording does not prevent every possible device recording.
You can remove the app's authorization through Zoom's connected-app or Marketplace controls. Contact support@workbird.co to coordinate affected bookings and the removal of stored integration data. Removing authorization prevents future authorized API use but is not a promise that every previously created meeting, database record, membership, or payment is automatically deleted or cancelled. Do not disconnect an account while leaving members without a way to attend or obtain a remedy.
Third-party availability and your internet connection can affect a session. Notify the member and support promptly about a material interruption. Do not use technical difficulty to bypass confidentiality or invite a member into an unsuitable public channel.
7. Membership revenue and platform fees
Members purchase the plan and recurring price disclosed at checkout. The standard plans at preparation are $99 per month for two 20-minute sessions and $199 per month for four 20-minute sessions. A membership is associated with the selected pastor. Session allowances reset with a paid billing period, and unused sessions do not ordinarily roll over.
Your platform-fee percentage must be disclosed and accepted before you receive memberships under it. The present build uses a default platform fee of 25%, but the configured rate can differ. The accepted rate shown for your participation controls; an internal configuration change alone does not constitute your agreement to a higher fee. Workbird must obtain any agreement required before applying a materially different arrangement.
At a 25% platform fee, $99 less the platform fee is $74.25, and $199 less the platform fee is $149.25. Those amounts are illustrations before any additional applicable processing charges, taxes, refunds, reversals, or other properly disclosed adjustments. They are not guaranteed take-home pay, hourly wages, a promise of a minimum number of members, or a payout for each available appointment slot. Preparation, messages, administrative work, and unused availability are not separately compensated unless expressly agreed.
Do not set an additional charge for the same included session outside the approved checkout arrangement. An optional different offering requires a separate, clear agreement and must not exploit an existing pastoral relationship.
8. Stripe, payouts, adjustments, and taxes
Payout onboarding uses Stripe Connect. Provide required account, identity, banking, and tax information directly through Stripe's approved flow and keep it accurate. Stripe's applicable connected-account terms, verification requirements, and payment restrictions apply to its services. Workbird does not need your online-banking password or full identity documents in an ordinary Selah message.
Payout availability depends on successful payments, Stripe account status, verification, reserves or restrictions, settlement timing, and applicable law. A displayed estimate is not a promise of an immediate bank deposit. Workbird will not represent funds as available when a provider has restricted them.
Refunds, chargebacks, duplicate transactions, fraud, and payment reversals can affect amounts attributable to your memberships. Workbird may reconcile amounts actually attributable to an identified transaction as permitted by the accepted arrangement and law, and will explain a material adjustment. It will not impose an undisclosed penalty, take unrelated funds without authority, or treat any accusation as automatic forfeiture. Cooperate with reasonable requests for relevant transaction evidence without disclosing unnecessary intimate session content.
You are responsible for your tax reporting and any registrations or obligations that legally apply to your receipts and activities. Workbird and payment providers retain their own reporting and withholding duties. Neither participation nor use of the term “pastor” establishes a tax exemption or charitable status. A member's subscription is not represented as a tax-deductible donation.
9. Member information and pastoral notes
Use member information only to provide the requested relationship, manage appointments, meet a legitimate service obligation, resolve a concern, or comply with law. Do not sell it, create advertising audiences, add a member to a mailing list without a separate valid choice, or use it to solicit an unrelated purchase. Workbird's general terms do not authorize your separate ministry to reuse the information for its own purposes.
Keep notes accurate, relevant, respectful, and limited. Avoid unnecessary identifying information about third parties, speculative diagnoses, passwords, payment credentials, or intimate details that do not serve a legitimate purpose. The pastor-note feature limits ordinary access to the pastor associated with the booking. It does not create a legal privilege or guarantee that authorized administrators or legally entitled requesters can never access the record.
Use available platform tools and protect your devices. Do not export notes to an unapproved application, personal cloud account, external AI tool, or shared document merely for convenience. If an authorized outside record is genuinely necessary, establish the permitted purpose, appropriate protection, notice, retention, and any required consent before creating it. Do not maintain an undisclosed duplicate to defeat a deletion request.
Tell Workbird promptly of a suspected loss, mistaken disclosure, unauthorized access, or privacy request affecting platform information. Preserve necessary evidence securely and cooperate with investigation, correction, lawful access, deletion, and notification. Do not investigate by accessing information beyond your authorization. Consider other people's rights and any legally established privilege before disclosure, without assuming that all notes are exempt from an individual's rights.
You may have independent legal responsibilities for information you determine how to use. These terms do not automatically make every pastor a processor, employee, covered healthcare entity, or HIPAA business associate. Where a specific processing agreement is required, the parties must establish that arrangement expressly.
10. Public profiles, reviews, and intellectual property
You retain rights in your original profile material and authorize Workbird to host, format, and display the approved material to operate and explain your participation in Selah. This limited permission includes reasonable image resizing and display in the service's pastor-discovery experience. It does not authorize unrelated endorsements, commercial reuse of private conversations, or general-purpose AI training on private notes.
Obtain permission for any third-party material. Do not use Workbird's name or marks to imply employment, a professional certification, or an endorsement beyond your actual participation. Any separate advertising or testimonial arrangement must be expressly agreed.
Members may publish honest reviews, including negative opinions. Do not demand review deletion as a condition of a refund, intimidate a reviewer, buy a rating, or disclose private content in response. Report a specific standards violation through support and provide only the necessary evidence.
11. Ending participation and service continuity
You may request to stop accepting new memberships or end participation by contacting support@workbird.co. Identify upcoming appointments and active memberships so the parties can arrange an orderly transition. Do not announce a departure as if cancelling a profile automatically cancels all subscriptions or completes refunds.
Workbird may restrict, suspend, or end participation for a material breach, misrepresentation, safety concern, failure to honour appointments, legal restriction, or other legitimate service reason under the Terms. Urgent circumstances can require immediate action. When appropriate, Workbird will explain the decision and provide a means to request review.
Cooperate in addressing unprovided prepaid service, protecting member information, removing obsolete public information, and reconciling legitimate amounts owed. Termination does not automatically forfeit earned, undisputed payouts or permit retention of every member record indefinitely. Lawful confidentiality, privacy, payment, and dispute obligations that must continue survive termination to that extent.
12. Agreement, changes, and contact
The general Terms' provisions on responsibility, mandatory rights, liability, disputes, Delaware law, notices, and changes apply subject to any valid, expressly accepted supplemental arrangement. These terms do not add a blanket duty to indemnify Workbird for its own conduct or waive nonwaivable worker or consumer rights.
We will identify the effective version and give appropriate notice of material changes. A fee, role, or data-use change requiring agreement must be accepted before it applies. Keep a copy of your accepted terms and fee disclosure.
