Selah Space Terms of Service

Contracting party: Workbird LLC
Effective date: September 22, 2026
Policy version: 2026-09-22-v1

1. This agreement

These Terms govern Selah Space, also presented as Selah, and its website, accounts, memberships, messaging, booking, and related features. The provider of the platform is Workbird LLC (“Workbird,” “Selah,” “we,” or “us”). “You” means the person using the service. If you act for an organization, you must have authority to bind it, and references to you include that organization where appropriate.

You agree to these Terms when you affirmatively accept them during account creation, purchase, or another clearly identified acceptance step. We will make the applicable version available for you to retain. A purchase also includes the specific plan, price, recurring-payment disclosure, and any additional terms expressly presented for acceptance at checkout.

The Community Standards apply to participation. The Pastor Participation Terms add requirements for pastor accounts. The Privacy Policy explains information practices; agreeing to these Terms does not replace a separate consent required for sensitive information or another regulated activity. Mandatory consumer rights take priority over a conflicting provision.

2. Eligibility and accounts

Selah is intended for adults who are at least 18 and legally able to enter this agreement. The initial service described here is offered to users in the United States. We do not provide a child-account or guardian-managed participation program. You may not use another adult’s account to provide access to a minor.

Provide accurate account and payment information, use an email account you control, and keep your information reasonably current. Your account is personal and may not be sold or shared. You are responsible for activity you authorize and for reasonable care of your sign-in links and devices. You are not automatically responsible for every unauthorized action merely because it involved your account; applicable law and the circumstances govern.

Tell us promptly at support@workbird.co if you suspect unauthorized access. We may require additional verification or temporarily restrict access to protect an account. A successful email sign-in confirms access to that email address; it does not establish professional credentials, a criminal-history check, or a person’s suitability to provide pastoral care.

3. What Selah provides

Selah provides tools to discover pastors, compare profile information, choose a membership with a particular pastor, book available appointments, exchange messages, and join one-to-one conversations through Zoom. Pastors provide the pastoral conversations directly and are responsible for the accuracy of their representations and for meeting their obligations to participants.

Selah does not promise a particular spiritual, emotional, relationship, or life outcome. Preference-based suggestions explain potential connections; they are not a certification, diagnosis, guarantee, or instruction to choose a specific pastor. You may decide not to proceed or to seek a different connection.

Profiles are subject to our publication process. Publication is not a representation that every credential has been independently verified or that a comprehensive background check has occurred. We will describe any specific verification actually performed rather than imply a broader screening program.

4. Scope of pastoral conversations and emergencies

The service is for pastoral conversation, prayer, spiritual reflection, and related support. It does not provide emergency response, licensed psychotherapy, medical diagnosis or treatment, legal representation, or individualized financial services. A pastor’s separate professional qualification does not convert a Selah membership into a separate clinical or professional engagement.

Do not use Selah to request immediate emergency intervention. If someone is in immediate danger in the United States, call 911. For suicide or mental-health crisis support in the United States, call or text 988. Selah messages and reports are not monitored as an emergency channel, and we cannot guarantee an immediate response.

You control what you share and may decline a topic, prayer, or activity. A pastor may identify that a request is outside their experience or the service’s scope and suggest a more appropriate resource. No participant may use spiritual authority to compel a disclosure, a payment, obedience, secrecy about abuse, or continuation of a conversation against another person’s wishes.

5. Memberships and recurring charges

A paid membership is prepaid and renews monthly until cancelled. By accepting a clearly presented recurring-payment authorization at checkout, you authorize the stated recurring charge to the selected payment method. Cancellation stops future renewals; it does not ordinarily end access already paid for.

The plan details and total price shown before purchase control that purchase. At preparation of these Terms, the standard plans are A little space, $99 per month for two 20-minute appointments, and Walk together, $199 per month for four 20-minute appointments. These examples do not override a different price you expressly accept at checkout. Prices are in U.S. dollars. Applicable taxes or additional mandatory charges must be disclosed before you authorize payment.

A membership is associated with the pastor selected at checkout. Its session allowance is not transferable to another account or automatically transferable to a different pastor. It is a service allowance, not an investment or a promise of a monetary payout to members. Any redemption or refund right required by law remains available.

On a successful monthly payment, the plan’s session allowance resets for the new billing period. Unused sessions do not roll over. You must book appointments within the applicable paid period and available schedule. A membership does not reserve a standing weekly slot unless expressly stated. Review the pastor’s availability before purchasing and contact support if the offered schedule does not provide a reasonable opportunity to use the purchased service.

Billing periods and renewal dates appear in your membership or billing information. A monthly period is based on the subscription’s billing cycle and is not necessarily a calendar month or a fixed number of days. Payment confirmation may take time to reach Selah; a checkout return screen alone does not grant an additional allowance.

We may use Stripe to process charges and provide a billing portal. You must have authority to use the payment method. Failed or reversed payments may prevent new bookings or renewals. We will not add undisclosed collection fees or treat a payment failure as consent to a different price.

6. How to cancel renewal

You can cancel renewal online from Membership using the cancellation control. You do not have to telephone us, explain your reason, or accept a retention offer to cancel. Any billing-portal cancellation option we provide is an additional route, not a condition that removes your statutory cancellation rights.

Cancellation must be completed before the next renewal is processed to prevent that charge. Once cancellation is recorded, membership access ordinarily continues to the end of the paid period shown in the account. Keep the confirmation and contact support@workbird.co if the control is unavailable, the result is unclear, or a charge appears after a timely cancellation. We will investigate and correct an erroneous renewal rather than use a technical failure to keep you subscribed.

Cancelling an individual appointment does not cancel the monthly membership. Disconnecting Zoom, signing out, clearing cookies, or removing an app likewise does not by itself cancel a subscription. If you request account closure, we will address outstanding subscriptions and explain the effect rather than leave future renewals running unnoticed.

If we change a recurring price, allowance, or another material payment term, we will give advance notice and obtain any consent required by law before charging under the new terms. You may cancel before the change takes effect. A silent edit to these Terms does not authorize a new recurring price. Additional renewal notices will be provided when required for the particular contract and jurisdiction.

7. Booking and attending a session

Select an available appointment with your membership’s pastor. A confirmed booking uses one available session. Slots can become unavailable while another person books them; a displayed slot is not reserved until confirmation. Booking requires an appointment at least five minutes in the future under the current scheduling rules.

Appointment times are displayed using the applicable time-zone settings. Check the date and time carefully, especially when travelling or when daylight-saving time changes. You need a suitable device, internet connection, and the ability to use Zoom. You are responsible for your ordinary connection and device costs.

A session is a 20-minute appointment block unless the accepted plan expressly states otherwise. It is not a promise that Zoom automatically ends the call at exactly 20 minutes or that unused minutes can be banked. Arrive on time and allow the pastor to finish on schedule. Messaging between calls is available as described in the membership; it does not promise unlimited pastoral work, an immediate reply, or continuous availability.

Join access ordinarily becomes available ten minutes before the scheduled start. Use only your own participant link. A pastor’s host link and connected account must remain under the pastor’s control. Do not share access with an unapproved guest, substitute host, or automated participant.

8. Rescheduling, cancellations, missed sessions, and service problems

You can use the session controls to reschedule a confirmed upcoming appointment to an available time with the same pastor within the paid membership period. A request must be completed before the original session begins. Availability and the current booking rules apply; requesting a change is not confirmation that it succeeded.

If you successfully cancel before the scheduled start, the application restores the session when the booking’s allowance belongs to the current billing cycle. A cancellation does not create a second allowance or revive expired credits from an earlier cycle. Past sessions cannot be cancelled through the ordinary booking control.

An appointment you miss or join late ordinarily remains used. Contact us if an emergency, accessibility problem, provider failure, or platform malfunction prevented the service. We review the circumstances and applicable rights; an automatic “used” status is not a final decision about a complaint or required remedy.

If a pastor cancels, does not attend, ceases participating, or cannot reasonably provide the paid service, contact support@workbird.co. We will work to provide an appropriate replacement opportunity, restore an eligible allowance, or refund the affected unprovided service when appropriate or required. We will not treat the normal expiry rule as a reason to retain payment for service we or the provider failed to supply.

Routine cancellation of renewal does not ordinarily result in a prorated refund of an otherwise usable current month. This does not exclude refunds required by law, duplicate or unauthorized charges, charging errors, or remedies for materially unprovided or misdescribed service. A discretionary refund or service credit is not promised for every complaint. We will explain the decision and the basis for any amount retained.

You may raise a legitimate dispute with your payment provider or a regulator. Contacting Selah first can help resolve an issue but does not waive those rights or shorten a legal deadline. Do not submit knowingly false payment disputes or seek duplicate recovery for the same amount.

9. Conduct, confidentiality, and other participants

Follow the Community Standards. Respect boundaries, religious differences, and a person’s right to stop a conversation. Do not harass, threaten, impersonate, exploit, defraud, or disclose another person’s private information. Pastors must also follow the participation terms, including limits on solicitation and the handling of sensitive information.

Keep meeting links, private messages, and session details confidential except for authorized use, a legitimate safety report, legal advice or proceedings, or another lawful disclosure. This obligation does not prevent truthful reviews, reporting misconduct, cooperating with authorities, exercising legal rights, or discussing your own experience without improperly exposing another person’s private information.

Do not record, livestream, screenshot private content, add a transcription or AI bot, or distribute a recording unless every affected participant has given specific permission in advance and the activity is lawful and permitted by Selah. The integration disables automatic recording when creating meetings, but we cannot control every external recording method. Permission to join a call is not permission to record or publish it.

We cannot promise absolute secrecy or that every communication is legally privileged. Duties to report abuse and valid legal process may apply. Neither these Terms nor a pastor’s assurance removes obligations that cannot lawfully be waived.

10. Your content and our limited permission to use it

You retain ownership of content you provide to the extent you own rights in it. You are responsible for having the rights and permissions necessary to submit it. Do not post copyrighted material, personal information, photographs, or credentials that you are not entitled to use.

You give Workbird a nonexclusive permission to host, store, transmit, format, display, and reproduce your content only as reasonably needed to operate the requested service, display content you make public, provide support, enforce these Terms, and satisfy legal obligations. We may permit service providers to perform those activities for us. This permission does not transfer ownership, authorize selling private conversations, or authorize unrelated advertising or AI-model training.

You authorize public display of profile material and reviews you choose to publish. Public content may be seen, copied, or indexed outside our control. When content is removed, the operating permission ends except for limited copies or uses reasonably needed for legal obligations, disputes, security, backup handling, or other rights the law permits. We will not use a perpetual blanket license to defeat a valid deletion right.

11. Reviews and intellectual-property concerns

You may share honest opinions, including criticism of Selah or a pastor. We do not require positive reviews, impose a penalty for an honest negative review, or require you to transfer ownership of your review to us. The in-app review feature limits submission to the booking member after the scheduled end and permits one review per booking; it does not independently prove what happened during the call.

We may remove or limit content that contains private information, unlawful threats, harassment, spam, false impersonation, infringement, or other prohibited material. We do not remove an honest review merely because it is unfavorable. A dispute about a review’s sentiment is not enough to establish misconduct.

For copyright or other intellectual-property complaints, contact support@workbird.co and identify the work or right, the specific material and its location, your authority, and contact information. Do not submit a claim you know is false. We may request supporting information, restrict disputed material, and address repeat infringement. This contact is not represented as a registered DMCA agent unless a separate published designation confirms that registration.

12. Third-party services and availability

Zoom, Stripe, and other providers may require you to accept their terms for their own services. Workbird is not Zoom or Stripe, and this agreement does not bind those providers. A third-party account suspension, outage, device limitation, or payment restriction can affect a feature. We remain responsible for obligations that applicable law places on Workbird; identifying a provider does not excuse all responsibility for our own performance.

We may maintain, improve, or change features. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, compatibility with every device, or that every issue can be resolved immediately. For a material reduction in a paid service, we will provide appropriate notice and any remedy required by the accepted purchase terms or law. We will not eliminate an already paid benefit without considering the affected member’s rights.

13. Suspension, termination, and account closure

You can stop using Selah and request closure at support@workbird.co. Address renewal cancellation separately as described above or ask us to handle both. Pastors must also address upcoming sessions and outstanding obligations.

We may restrict an account, remove content, pause new bookings, or end access for a material breach, fraud, a serious safety or security concern, a legal requirement, or a service closure. We may act immediately when necessary to prevent harm. Where appropriate and lawful, we will explain the action and provide a way to request review. We do not promise to reveal confidential reports, other people’s information, or security details.

An account restriction is not automatic forfeiture of every prepaid amount or earned payout. We will address unprovided paid service, legitimate disputes, outstanding charges, and lawful withholding separately. If we permanently end a member’s paid access for our convenience, we will stop future renewals and refund the unprovided portion of paid service as appropriate. Fraud-related offsets must have a lawful basis and cannot be an undisclosed penalty.

Closure does not require immediate destruction of records that must lawfully be retained. Information handling follows the Privacy Policy and applicable rights. Provisions necessary to address prior transactions, content permissions for lawful retained copies, disputes, and other obligations intended to survive will continue to the extent appropriate.

14. Warranties and responsibility

We will provide the service with the care required by applicable law. Except for express promises in an accepted purchase and rights that cannot be excluded, the platform is provided as available. We do not guarantee a particular match, spiritual outcome, professional qualification, participant behavior, or that every technical problem will be prevented.

Nothing here excludes mandatory warranties or remedies, makes a misleading sales claim acceptable, or treats a pastoral disclaimer as a release from responsibility for Workbird’s own misconduct.

15. Limits on liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Workbird is not liable for indirect, special, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the service, such as lost business profits or an opportunity lost because of an outage. For claims that may lawfully be limited, Workbird’s total liability arising from the service will not exceed the greater of $100 or the total fees you paid to Workbird through Selah during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

These limits do not apply to fraud, intentional misconduct, gross negligence, liability for death or personal injury to the extent it cannot lawfully be limited, a refund or payout expressly owed, statutory damages or remedies that cannot be waived, or another liability the law does not permit us to limit. They do not release Workbird from a privacy or security obligation that applicable law makes nonwaivable. A jurisdiction that restricts these provisions will receive the protection its law requires.

16. Resolving disputes and Delaware law

You may contact support@workbird.co with the nature of a dispute, relevant transaction details, and the outcome you seek. We will consider a good-faith effort to resolve it. This voluntary process does not delay cancellation, require you to miss a deadline, prevent urgent relief, or prohibit a complaint to a regulator.

Delaware law governs this agreement to the extent permitted, without using a conflict-of-law rule to remove mandatory consumer protections that otherwise apply. Federal law and nonwaivable rights in the place where you reside remain applicable where required.

Subject to those protections, a court proceeding concerning this agreement may be brought in a state court of competent jurisdiction in Delaware or the United States District Court for the District of Delaware when it has jurisdiction. This provision does not prevent an eligible small-claims action in your local court or require you to surrender a forum available under mandatory law. These Terms do not require private arbitration or waive a right to participate in a class proceeding.

17. Changes, notices, and general terms

We will identify the effective version and give notice of material changes through an appropriate account, website, or email notice before they apply, except where an immediate change is required for law or urgent safety. Changes do not retroactively alter a completed transaction or resolve an existing dispute in our favor. We will obtain fresh agreement where required; continuing to browse is not a substitute for required consent to a materially different charge or sensitive-data use.

We may send operational notices electronically to your account or email. Keep your email current. Where the law requires a particular delivery method, accessibility option, consent, or paper record, that requirement controls. You may save or print these Terms.

If a provision is unenforceable, it will be limited or severed only to the extent permitted while preserving the remaining agreement. A failure to enforce a provision once is not a permanent waiver. You may not transfer an account or agreement without permission; Workbird may transfer the service as part of a legitimate business change only subject to continuing obligations and applicable notice or consent requirements. There are no intended third-party beneficiaries except where expressly stated by an applicable agreement or law.

These Terms and the expressly accepted supplemental and purchase terms form the agreement for the service. Informal statements do not override mandatory rights or a documented purchase promise. If an accepted supplemental term conflicts on its specific subject, it controls that subject, subject always to mandatory law.
